Who’s Behind the Brand?
Well hey there—I’m April Bordeaux, the creative force behind ABdesignerd. My story? It’s a blend of wonder, strategy, and a whole lot of why the hell not?
Creativity has always been in my bones. As a kid, I was the one baking the perfect mud pie, reading books about faraway worlds, and sliding down the pole in our backyard fire tower with my dog, Pixie, close behind. But as college approached, I decided to take the practical path: a degree in business and finance. I stepped into the corporate world eager to learn, building a strong foundation in business, marketing, and strategy.
Even then, my passion for all things creative never left me.
A Creative Calling
Years later, during the economic downturn, life nudged me back toward my true calling. I went back to school for art and design, tapped into the creative energy I’d always carried and never looked back. With dual degrees and over two decades of experience, I’ve learned how to blend sharp strategy with bold creativity—transforming good ideas into unforgettable brands.
Leaping into Solopreneurship
After 11 years in the agency world, I took the leap and launched ABdesignerd.
The agency world shaped me—but ABdesignerd is where I fully stepped into my boss era. It became my way to create with intention, connection, and joy—on my terms. Helping small business owners bring their dreams to life isn’t just what I do. It’s who I am.

Outside the studio, my life is full of love, laughter, and floofy sidekicks who double as coworkers. I’m a proud SW Florida girl, a dog mom (and cat mom), and a third-generation Southwest Floridian raising a fourth. I believe in giving back, lifting others up, and designing with purpose.

Barketing Manager
Don’t let the soft floof and puppy dog eyes fool you—Sam is all business (unless snacks are involved). As ABdesignerd’s official Barketing Manager, he specializes in mid-day walk breaks, tail-wagging approval, and making sure every project is wag-worthy.
Jaxxon Kol
Pawject Manager, Perimeter Control
Don’t let the smile fool you; Jaxx takes his role seriously—no leaf, delivery truck, or neighborhood squirrel escapes his watch. He ensures the studio remains secure and squirrel-free, all while keeping timelines in check and occasionally offering a barked opinion on color palettes.
Luna Star
Purr-sonal Assistant
Equal parts mysterious and fabulous, Luna is my purr-sonal assistant and oversees operations from a sunbeam near the window or directly on the keyboard. She’s got an eye for aesthetics, a flair for drama, and a zero-tolerance policy for off-brand design decisions.
